Here is your new Car: 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 With 650-HP-exempt from the gas-guzzler tax.

Do you need more power:

Ford’s new Shelby GT500 Mustang has surpassed all expectations, bringing with it a brand new supercharged V-8 displacing 5.8 liters and developing no less than 650 horsepower.

Yes, you read that correctly. That’s 12 whole horsepower more than the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and 70 horsepower more than its closest rival, the upcoming Camaro ZL1. Heck, it’s even got 80 more horsepower than a Ferrari 458 Italia!

Yes, Ford’s 2013 update to the Shelby GT500 truly pushes the iconic muscle car into supercar territory, but a sledgehammer of an engine isn’t the end of the story.

Nearly every vehicle system found on the car has been optimized, from the powertrain, to the brakes, to even the gearing, suspension and aerodynamics.

Starting with the new aluminum V-8 engine, peak output is rated at 650 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful production V-8 in the world. It features a unique supercharger, new cross-drilled block and heads, updated camshaft profiles, a new carbon fiber driveshaft and upgraded clutch, transmission and axle.

Now drop this epic powertrain in a car that only weighs 3,850 pounds and you can just imagine what kind of damage you could do at a race track. Ford hasn’t released any performance figures yet except that the car will do more than 200 mph. Oh, the light curb weight means it’s also exempt from the gas-guzzler tax.

Revealing The Fastest Car In The World

Revealing The Fastest Car In The World

Whenever you think about the fastest car in the world, Bugatti may be the name appearing in your mind, but the fact is Volkswagen was the name that played vital role in keeping the company alive. Once you experience Bugatti Veyron, you may not be inclined to accept that there could be any other car faster than this. Fairly speaking, the car is ‘second to none’ is speed is the concern. This car creates a panorama of thrill beyond the perceptions that one can have about the other fast cars.

Its enormous engine and slippery aerodynamic design are the astuteness about its high speed. These two factors are sufficient to propel this dashing vehicle more than 200 miles an hour but, there is something else too to add to it. The car is simply surpassing of perfection of the engineers. Let’s peep into the bonnet of the car to have a look at its engine.  An 8-liter W-16 engine with 4 turbo looks bulky in the first impression. The engine is a combination of two V6 or V8. If you have a little know how about the combustion and power generation, you can imagine what an 8-liter and 16 cylinders engine can bring about. Yes! It creates volcanic energy. The engineers took it beyond this by adding four turbos each creating a boost of 10 psi. 1001 horsepower is enormous power that makes it the fastest car in the world. This power is sufficient to create a jangle like a locomotive, putting high energy to the ground to shake it.

You might be thinking how a monster can be controlled running wildly at this high speed. Topping the speed is not the primary concern that Volkswagen engineers considered, they know well that controlling is also essential to make the drive safe as nothing is more precious than a human life. That’s why the car is equipped with Michelin’s special tires and all wheel drive.

Its now need to be a bit technical to fully understand that what makes the fastest car in the world the fastest one. Handling such a massive thrust is not an easy task. This will require a special gearbox; the one that can tolerate its thrust as well as deliver it efficiently to the wheels. For that reason, Volkswagen set the Formula 1 engineers to cop with this task. Their efforts bore fruit at last after a stressful struggle and they were able to design the desired gearbox. This gearbox encompasses a computerized controlled system and closely resembles to one used in Formula 1 racing cars. Moreover, to deliver the require performance and control, a seven speed flappy paddle shifter and a dual clutch are accompanied with other performance car parts

Air resistance is another issue with all speedy vehicles but Bugatti Veyron has dealt it with the world’s best aerodynamic design that slips the car through the air smoothly. To keep the car stable during its drive, down force is very important. As Bugatti Veyron moves at a high speed where the air pressure is quite prone to destabilize the vehicle, but Bugatti Veyron tackles with this issue with its wing that sticks it to the ground by creating a heavy down force. Contrary to other speedy vehicles, the Bugatti Veyron’s body has been made of carbon fiber instead of light and tough aluminum. This sounds that the use of carbon fiber will play role to reduce its weight but still, the car weighs 4,300 pounds. Moving such a heavy machine at a very speed needs very high energy and definitely, massive amount of heat will produce during this operation, so there is need to keep the car from overheating. Bugatti Veyron has 10 radiators, 3 of which keep the down wing cool and the rest serve the engine. Stopping the car is as important as to bring it into motion. The superb brakes and the wing can bring the car into rest in 0 to 10 seconds from a speed of 250 miles per hour.

All these features combine to build a brain-catching live machine that is just built to perform. The heavy investment of owning such a car is a unique pleasure in itself and once you sit in the driving seat, you will realize yourself that why this car is the fastest car in the world.
